1. The Jewel Case cover art and book are called the Insert card.
2. The Jewel Case art on the back is called the Tray or Inlay Card.
3. The CD Label art usually means the content printed on the top of the CD.
4. The CD content is sometimes called Data or Audio files.
5. Color information. 4/1: 4 Color on the top and 1 Color on the inside.
   Example: A 4 page book with 4/1. Pages 1 & 4 are full color, pages 2 & 3 are black and white or grayscale.
6. Duplicated Discs are exact copies of CDs made another CDR drive.
7. Replicated Discs are made from a "glass master" and are stamped, mass produced.
8. Bar Code or UPC Code. Used for scanning products and prices in retail outlets.
9. Glass Master is created from your master for Replicated CDs only.
10. SilkScreen labels require film to be created for each color of your disc label.

1. Surfware® Media Services/Shortstacks.com™ uses Thermal Printing to print the top of the discs. Thermal printers no not use ink jet stick-on labels. CD label info is printed right on the CD top.
2. You can not use as many colors as silkscreen or stickon labels but the Thermal Process is more durable than ink jet labels and more professional looking.

   The better the mastering software, computer used to create the master, the better the master. Check the specs on all of your software for potential issues.

   We charge extra for un flattened documents, Quark files, or font chasing.

   We charge extra for un flattened document, Quark files, or font chasing. You do not need color separations. All labor is billed @ $50 per hour.
   We try to be as flexible and fair as possible. We are hands on.
